Black Capped Chickadee
Black capped chickadees work together like an air force, and each bird can hide seeds in 2000 places! In the summer, we've seen black oil sunflowers sprouting off limbs and out from between bricks on our chimney.

Cardinal Female
This fine looking lady has been showing up without her husband lately, which is odd because they were always within 40 feet of each other. I hope nothing happened to him. Bird lovers will love this bird wallpaper. Just check out the detail on those feathers.

White Breasted Nuthatcher
A lot of bird names get chuckles out of people, and this guy is no exception. Nuthatchers are elegant birds, and they are very brave. I've seen them sneak in and grab seeds even when the starlings are around.
-
Tit Mouse
Another giggler, the tit mouse even sent Homer Simpson into little giggling fits. He can't hear the word without giggling. They hang with the chickadees a lot, and this one lifted his (her? haven't learned to tell the difference yet) wing to show off the buff.

Red Bellied Woodpecker
A lot of birds are named things they're not, really. This lady, for example, has a small splash of orange on her belly, but it is the orange Mohawk (which doesn't cover the whole head on the female) that really stands out. They should be called the orange Mohawked woodpecker. We call these guys Ziggy, after David Bowie's character.

Another White Breasted Nuthatcher
The nuthatchers seem to be the least affected by gravity, often eating upside down and not seeming to care.

Wild Turkeys
Wild turkeys were re-introduced to New York, and they've been very successful. We see them all the time, and this pair came down into the backyard to see what the big deal around the bird feeder was. Sometimes they roost on our roof!
