free computer wallpaper desktop backgrounds

Here are some icy scenes we've been collecting for a while. Some are just cool photographs of winter landscapes, but a few are taken through an icy window specifically with computer backgrounds (or desktop wallpaper) in mind. Note the frosty foreground as a place to put all your desktop icons, with a view out the window to be left uncovered. These shots are all from upstate New York, in the Central region, also known as the Central Leatherstocking region.
