Winter Computer Backgrounds: Frosted Windows and more!

This winter scene out a frosty window makes a great computer background picture for your desktop!Here's a little winter collection of computer background pictures we've been saving up. A few of these were taken specifically with computer background or winter wallpaper in mind. They were all taken up here in central New York, and a few of them were taken out our window when it frosted over.

As you can see from this example, the frosted area of the window is the perfect place to put your desktop icons, and the view out the window is best left uncovered. This shot can also be used for any kind of graphic (ad, sign, web page header, etc) where you want to put the text in the frosted area, leaving the view of the snow covered fir tree uncluttered. I'll be doing a post about this kind of thing soon, over at my Internet Marketing blog.

Also included in this batch is a photo of a frozen waterfall just outside of Sharon Springs, which is a vertical shot (not the best for use as wallpaper, but cool for other graphics and backgrounds). There's also a great sunset shot from a hill near Esperance, New York, which is in the central Leather Stocking region west of Albany.
