Tambi Larsen won an Academy Award for Art Direction in 1956, the highlight of a career as an artist and art director. When he wasn't working in Hollywood, he was hanging out on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai, drawing. This drawing (and one other) are now available for download (in computer background size) from the Hawaii beach accommodation website for the Hale Kilo I'a, or house where you watch fish. The Larsen Family Trust now runs their former Hawaii home as a vacation rental. If you stay there, you will get to enjoy prints of Larsen's work, which hang throughout the house. Yankee Stadium 2006Here's a few pictures of a great day at Yankee Stadium. These photographs make great myspace backgrounds or plain ol' free desktop wallpaper. This was the day that A-Rod hit a walk-off home run in the 10th to win the interleague game with the Atlanta Braves. Spencer and I took our cousin and uncle George in what turned out to be a memorable day that we thought would be rained out. We took the Metro north to Harlem, where we caught the subway up to the stadium. What a great day.

The Statue of Liberty in New York CityWe hadn't done much worthy of photography in quite a while, until our trip to New York this summer, when we finally got to go to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. I have to admit is was a lot more fun than I thought it would be, especially Ellis Island.  I've uploaded a few pictures that work as great desktop wallpaper, web page backgrounds, or as part of a MySpace layout. And if you ever get a chance to visit these two national wonders, I highly recommend it. Well worth the trip, especially the tour inside the base of the statue.
